Founded in 2002 by senior level women across technology industries

Who We Are

ITWomen works to narrow the gender gap across technology through proven programs that Inspire, Educate and Empower girls and women to advance in tech. We are a volunteer-driven non-profit founded in 2002 in South Florida by senior-level women in technology,

Our programs include classroom Role Models, College Scholarships, Educational Field Trips in professional settings, Robotics and Programming Camps, and Career Development.

ITWomen accomplishes its mission through donations and partnerships with non-profits, universities, corporate sponsors and professional organizations.

Our professional development programs allow women across technology to collaborate and empower each other in their career journeys, while our youth programs help ignite a passion for tech when girls in middle school and high school face critical choices for an academic path to a future in tech.

ITWomen Charitable Foundation

As part of its community outreach, the organization has established the nonprofit ITWomen Charitable Foundation 501(c)3. The ITWomen Charitable Foundation focuses on the ITWomen Role Model Speakers Program and the ITWomen Scholarship Program. ITWomen is determined to make a positive, substantial difference in the South Florida technology community by drawing on the combined strength and resources of its constituency.

Claire Marrero

President & Chair of the Board of Directors

Claire Marrero is the Founder and CEO of The Talent Source, a trusted partner in delivering transformative technology talent to Fortune 500 companies and Private Equity-backed ventures. With over 25 years of experience—beginning her career at Andersen Consulting—Claire has remained a passionate advocate for increasing access and opportunities for women and girls in technology.

A dedicated supporter of ITWomen since 2003, Claire has played a key role in securing grant funding to support ITWomen’s programs, including free Summer Robotics & AI Camps for underserved girls, the expansion of our Mentoring Program and the launch of the AI For Good Challenge. She actively leverages her professional network to connect mentors and build corporate partnerships that help fund college scholarships for future women in tech. Through her leadership and advocacy, Claire continues to champion diversity, equity, and opportunity in the tech industry.

Margaret Brisbane

Margaret Brisbane is the retired CIO/IT Department Director of Miami -Dade County where she led application development/support and strategic business and vendor partnerships. She serves on the eMerge Americas Content Advisory Board contributing to discussion of themes, thought leadership and speakers.

Margaret serves as the Mentor Chair for ITWomen, supporting young women pursuing technology and engineering.

Sherry Giordano

Sherry Giordano is the retired Executive Director of Pace Center for Girls Miami and a former Executive Director of ITWomen, where she was instrumental in establishing and growing the organization’s Role Model Speakers program. Earlier in her career, Sherry served as Director of Global Account Sales Operations for Digital Equipment Corporation in Geneva, Switzerland. She remains a passionate advocate for empowering girls and young women to realize their potential.

Sharon Moura

Sharon Moura is Principal and Client Executive at AlignOrg Solutions, helping clients clarify strategy, optimize their organization designs, and align systems for transformational change and marketplace success. Sharon has over 20 years of progressive experience in Information Technology and Commercial Excellence at leading organizations across industries including financial, automotive, mining & metals.

Krista Theodore

Krista Theodore is a cybersecurity professional, Adjunct Professor at Florida International University (FIU), and former ITWomen Scholarship Recipient. She currently serves as a Security Analyst with Memorial Healthcare System and previously worked as an IT Security Engineer at the University of Miami. Her expertise includes cybersecurity awareness and education, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Christine Zambrano

Christine Zambrano is Founder and Managing Director of Powersites Group, a provider of digital content and internet services. Her career spans digital marketing, communications, nonprofit development, journalism, and editorial leadership.

A charter member of ITWomen, Christine has played an integral role in the organization’s growth and digital presence. As VP, Web Content & Technology, she leads ITWomen’s website, digital communications, newsletters, and member data initiatives.

Alejandra Lorenzo

Alejandra Lorenzo is a Consultant, Mentor and Motivational Speaker. She recently retired from the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) having served as an IT professional for over 25 years.

Alejandra is deeply committed to giving back to the community, including inspiring more young women to choose tech careers. She serves as ITWomen's Scholarship Ambassador.

Known for translating complex business challenges into innovative technology solutions, Tiffany has a proven track record of driving operational excellence, building high-performing teams, and delivering sustainable business value across global organizations.

Neena Vicentee is Vice President, Digital Commerce & Experience at Princess Cruises and an accomplished digital transformation and customer experience executive. Raj Rawal

Raj Rawal is Managing Partner at SF Mango Investments, LLC. Global Chief Information Officer with strategic, leadership, and execution skills in diverse industries including hospitality, retail, food service, and manufacturing; consisting of both corporate and franchise operations.
