ITWomen, Inc., is committed to protecting your privacy with secure technologies that prevent the unauthorized use of your personal information. ITWomen, Inc., is the sole owner of information collected on this site. We will not sell, share or rent the personal information that you provide other than in the ways described in this statement.

REGISTRATION

Registration is required to access some features and selections of the Web site. Registration is also required for newsletters and e-mail announcements, to RSVP to ITWomen-sponsored events, and to complete an online membership application.

To access Member-only features of the Web site, you must enter your User ID and password.

When you RSVP to an ITWomen-sponsored event, your name, title, and company affiliation are used to provide name tags for you at our events and to e-mail your confirmation to the e-mail you specified.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

The minimum required information to complete a membership application is first and last name, e-mail address, and a phone number.

All of the required and optional information that you provide is automatically entered into ITWomen's membership database. ITWomen, Inc.,will NOT sell, exchange, or provide to advertisers and mass marketers your membership information.

Members of ITWomen, Inc., may provide their contact information to other members via the Web site's member look-up directory.

ITWomen will use aggregated demographic information to compile statistics to promote and develop ITWomen. Identifiable personal information will NOT be used. For example, in a press release or solicitation for value-added member benefits, ITWomen may share that a certain percentage of members possess xyz certifications, own their own companies, or are fluent in two or more languages, etc.

SUBMISSIONS

A range of articles, white papers, events, links and other files can be submitted to ITWomen.org for online posting consideration. It is assumed that contributors are at liberty to offer their submissions. ITWomen cannot be held responsible for intentional or unintentional violations of copyrights or permissions on content submitted to it.

USE OF COOKIES

A cookie is a piece of data stored on a user's hard drive containing a unique identifiable number assigned to the user. It is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information during your visit to our Web site. Cookies may be used to determine the number of visitors to particular pages or make your usage more convenient, but they are not tied to any personally identifiable information. Once you close your browser, the session-based cookie terminates.

We may also track information such as patterns of visitor usage to compile this information into a statistical aggregate which we use for internal purposes, including improvements to the site.

SECURITY

Personally identifiable information is stored on limited-access servers kept in a secure collocation facility within locked cages by e-volution, the vendor whose application powers this Web site. E-volution guarantees servers against power outages by using automated backup power systems. Questions about the security or internal accessibility of the servers that store information entered through our Web site can be directed to info@e-volution.com or privacy@e-volution.com.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

Your financial transactions such as online payment for events and membership will be handled by PayPal™ - http://www.paypal.com, which offers secure, encrypted, confidential online payment transactions.
