PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The Public Relations
committee is committed to furthering the communications
objectives of ITWomen through strategic media
relations activities surrounding the chapter and
its members. The committee will also identify
speaking opportunities and partnerships in line
with the organization's charter.
- Prepares and distributes
ITWOMEN meeting announcements to web site, newspapers,
and other media contacts prior to ITWOMEN meetings
- Directs ITWomen
publicity and outreach and works directly with
PR firm designated by the Advisory Board
- Directs internal communications among members.

MARKETING COMMITTEE
The Marketing Committee is committed to promoting ITWomen by creating, developing and promoting a consistent brand image.
- Prepares all collateral
material, including membership applications
- Prepares printed programs for distribution at
bi-monthly meetings (includes speaker bios, sponsor
information, agenda, and other relevant information)

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee shall assist in expanding
the organization membership to include qualified organizations
and individuals from all sectors of the technology community.
DEVELOPMENT
- Works to increase ITWomen visibility among South Florida
employers
- Develops membership incentive programs
- Coordinates events to increase membership
- Develops a list of potential members to receive organization
information and directly contacts such potential members
- Follows up with new members to ensure that they are
receiving organization information
- Reports on membership increases/decreases at Board
meetings
- Reports on new memberships at bi-monthly meetings
and introduces/welcomes new members
- Responds to membership inquiries
RETENTION
- Maintains a relationship with current members to ensure
that they keep abreast of the organization's activities
and that the organization's programs are of interest
- Issues ITWomen membership cards
- Issues reminder notices to pre-registered attendees
just prior to bi-monthly meetings
- Informs local members of membership expiration

PROGRAMS COMMITTEE
The Programs Committee is committed to advancing the knowledge of the most important concerns and interests of women in technology by developing and implementing a highly interesting and informative program schedule.
- Generates/solicits ideas
& topics for meeting programs: seminars, workshops,
panels.
- Develops annual program plan.
- Identify and secures speakers.
- Coordinates speaker needs with Facilities/Registration
Chair-
- Develops Chat Table discussion guidelines based
on program topics-
- Coordinates with Board member schedules to ensure
adequate coverage for Chat Table discussion groups
at bi-monthly programs.
- Conduct meeting evaluations and prepares summary
report for Board meeting.

FACILITIES AND REGISTRATION COMMITTEE
- Secures meeting space
and audio/visual equipment
- Coordinates with ITWOMEN to determine headcount
for caterer
- Coordinates with caterer for meeting food/beverage
selection and service
- Coordinates payment of facility/caterer fees
with Treasurer.
- Coordinates volunteers who conduct onsite registration
and help as greeters and with nametags, door prizes,
speaker liaison, logistics liaison, ITWomen merchandise
sales, and similar tasks at bi-monthly meetings
- Obtains pre-registered attendee list from Logistics
Chair and makes copies for use during meeting
registration
- Purchases supplies for use at bi-monthly meetings
and submits receipts to Treasurer for reimbursement
- Turns over all cash, check and credit card receipts
from membership meetings to Treasurer

COMMUNITY OUTREACH COMMITTEE
The Community Outreach Committee
will lend itself to all efforts that will involve
ITWomen members in community and charity events.
As Community Outreach members, we will be committed
to proactively seek out opportunities within the
community - on professional, educational and charity
levels.
- Plans programs and organizes events bringing
ITWomen into other areas of the general South
Florida community, i.e., high schools and other
special events
- Develops guidelines for ITWomen's mentoring
program to match mentors with mentees and to evaluate
the success of the program,
- Promotes the mentoring program at ITWOMEN meetings,
making remarks at the beginning of meetings to
encourage participation , solicit participant
feedback, report progress and/or improve the program
- Reports to the Board on progress/challenges
with the program
- Maintains records of pairings, evaluations,
findings, etc.
- Establishes yardsticks for determining the success
of the ITWomen mentoring program.

WEB - TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE
· Gatekeeper of all the content on ITWomen.org
· Responsible for content style
· Posts all meeting notices
· Updates ITWomen South Florida chapter's
web pages
· Coordinates with Board on improvements
to web site functionality
· Maintains the local area list-serve
· Updates Board on best technology practices
